Sleddog : Gib, my reaction was as Irish as ever. Trust me when I say that every time I sign online I wish there was a clan member to greet. But these have not been ours ways, nor our motto. This is why I've challenged that, and you. Fine, I game in 2009 but twice a year when in 2001 I was with you all twice a week. I still left my messages and tried to inspire and motivate the clan. I might not be here in the future, but my squad might be.

4gibme : Unfortunately Sled, you hit a pet peeve of mine on the head. Practice what you perch, and when one does not, well, I reacted inappropriately, were I should of used more constructive words. You are entitled to your feeling of me, and I will respect that. Unfortunate as it is, had you spend more time as an active member, you would have known that this would not work with or whatever clan motto. But as of this point, it might be best if I just stay out of it.

Sleddog : Kap, I'll think U might agree with me that theses days are tricky. Gaming has taken ona new face. I have seen a mew online game with 240 players..a full on army. E3 2009. might be for xbox 360 only tho. the way I see it, we were part of a gaming revolution, but we've lost our way. got stuck, now we show up for old fixes. something familiar, cuz it's easy. check out MAG
DeKap : The different PC capability thing let to a resurgence of the older games that we originally played. At this point it has been BF 42 or COD 4...
DeKap : I don't have a good answer for different PC capability, time, schedule or the ultimate game experience. New blood would help I think - if they could put up with a bunch of old farts acting as kids at heart.
DeKap : Agreed. We have the challenge of older pc's not running some of the new stuff, different tastes in game style, growing families and ultimately, jobs we have to wake up and show up for... There seems to have been a lull in the release of decent games, too. What brought us all together (BF42 and others) isn't holding us together anymore.

Sleddog : Good point. And though I may have a disagreement with Gib, my intentions are to satisfy the growth of the clan, and to keep the experience as non-exclusive as possible. There are many games, and many different types of players. My opinion seemed to have offended Gib, his reply certainly offended me. DeKap : Wow! At this point I don't see that the clan would have any appeal to a recruit, much less to our own members. Without a consistent night, it's hard to get a group together. It's fun when several show up. Other than that who cares? Obviously, life happens and not everyone can be a regular. I still show up cuz it's enjoyable. No obligations, no drama, just simply for fun.

We're all getting long in the teeth and it's unrealistic to put getting together on a Tuesday night as a priority.
